School Supplies Collection
We are collecting school supplies now through Monday, August 17 for students in need. Please consider donating to help support a successful start to the school year. Donations can be brought to church on Sunday or dropped off during church office hours Monday – Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm. You can also order online and have supplies shipped directly to Abiding Presence Church. Monetary donations are also acceptable and appreciated! Supplies will be distributed August 24 – 28.

Women's Book Club

We are reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. Sarah Grimké the daughter of a wealthy slave-owning family dreams of becoming more than society allows women to be. On Sarah's eleventh birthday, Hetty 'Handful' Grimké an enslaved girl is given to Sarah as a gift. Sarah knows what she does next will unleash a world of trouble. And so, indeed, the trouble begins.

Rainforest Falls VBS 2026
August 10 - 14
We're looking forward to a week of fun with Abiding Presence Lutheran Church during Rainforest Falls VBS "Where Faith Grows and Adventure Begins" August 10 - 14 from 9am -12noon. Each day will include Bible lessons, music, crafts, snacks, and games in a rainforest themed setting. We’re currently collecting supplies through our Amazon Wish List and would greatly appreciate your support. Please consider purchasing an item using the link below. 2026 Abiding Presence Lutheran Church Volunteer Service Award
Although the Presidential Volunteer Service award is no longer available, Pastor Schoepflin has chosen to continue recognizing the dedication and commitment of our volunteers through the Abiding Presence Volunteer Service Award. This award honors individuals who share their time and talents in service to our church and community. Applicants can find the necessary submission forms here. The deadline date is Monday, August 31.
